I have decided that today I am going to only use green coloured inks because I'm talking about plants! Not that plants are always green, some use yellow or orange or even grey or brown pigments to photosynthesise and not all plants even use photosynthesis and use things like chemosynthesis instead. But most plants use photosynthesis and this is mostly done with green pigments. Plus when you think plants, you think green.

Anyway! I wasn't planning on talking about photosynthesis and plant pigments, even if it is interesting! What I wanted to talk about was Bronwyn Bradley's lecture. I didn't know anything about how much magical fertiliser was being used (even if I use it sometimes!) and it is terrible that some plants are no longer growing in their natural habitats. That must have a huge effect on ecosystems as a whole.

It was also interesting just to be back in the Hogwarts library. It automatically brought back memories of studying (or attempting to study) for NEWTs . So glad I don't have to do that anymore!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Nov. 19th, 2010

I just want to say Thank you!! to everyone who lent me inks when mine were so cruelly stolen (or, confiscated). I will return them all shortly! Also thank you to Lily Potter for sending me glitter which I've been having a lot of fun with! Thanks also to everyone who wrote in colour while my inks were confiscated and supported me through such a tough time (I am joking about the toughness! I can survive without my inks! I would just prefer not to have to).

Also to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday and gave me such great gifts! You're all amazing and I loved them all! People I live with, feel free to help yourself to my cupcakes!

So Thank you!!

Before I begin this entry (although, I guess I have already begun it now) I would like to warn you all that it is going to be very colourful and therefore if you are going to complain (Edgar) you should just stop reading now. That is all.

Dear members of the Charms Club,

Your wonderful President, Karen, asked me to be your guest speaker (or writer, more accurately) for the week since you are doing colour charms! Yellow is not a very good colour to write in so I am only writing in it for the sake of my pattern. As you have probably noticed, I enjoy writing in different colours! I will be honest and say that I use actual inks, rather than colour charms, but either works! That said, don't let colour charms discourage you from buying coloured inks! You should all come and buy some from Scrivenshafts next time you are in Hogsmeade. Until then, colour charms are a good alternative. Colours are a fun way to make your writing more fun, and they can even be used for more useful things, like colour-coding notes for organisation, or even luck in certain subjects, apparently. So you should all pay attention in charms club so you can learn how to do this! Then you'll be able to do all sorts of cool things with colour, like writing in contrasting colours to make things stand out more, or writing in complimentary colours for a more harmonious look.

And if you want to learn more about contrasting and complimentary colours and stuff, you should join Art Club (I felt like I should support a club I was actually in too!).

Thank you for your attention and I hope you all enjoy Charms Club!

P.S. I hope to see more of you writing colourfully after this Charms Club meeting!

[Circle Class 2023]

Any one else worried about the fact that whatever the actives needed alibis for on Sunday is so important that the actives are all being pulled out of school for that day? Surely their other alibis would've been fine.

Did you know it take a whole week for jelly beans to be made?! One of the Honeydukes workers told me this when he came to buy a new quill on his lunch break. At first I wasn't sure whether to believe him or not because they're tiny and they can't really take that long to make can they? But then he explained about how some stages require the mixture to just sit for a while or something. I can't remember exactly now because it's not like I want to become a jelly bean maker. It made sense though, and if anyone would have the ethos to talk about jelly bean making, it would be a Honeydukes employee. Or an actual jelly bean maker but I don't know any of them!

If I was a Rich Girl

See, I'd have all the money in the world, if I was a wealthy girl
No man could test me, impress me, my cash flow would never ever end
